Women who got the music started

1945- Doris Day was the most popular female singer in 1945. Doris was a singer and an actress. She was what every guy wanted. Her beauty was unreal.


In 1950’s- Country was the most favoured. Later in 1950’s pop was also much liked by everyone. Ellen Muriel Deason (also known as Kitty Wells) was one of the popular country singers in 1950’s.

In pop but for the women The Three Andrew Sisters were known as the beautiful sisters in pop.

In 1960’s is when “Rock and Roll” got started. Aretha Franklin was know for her beautiful voice and her big white smile. Rolling Stones ranked her No.1 on the list of “the greatest singers of all time”. It was also a time for "Peace" and "Love"

1960-1975 was the generation where people where getting into drugs and going to concerts. Everyone wanted to be a “rebel” and “go crazy”. Teenager were getting into drugs ,drinking Alcohol and listening to “Black Sabbith” And “Blondie.”

In 1975-1985 was the time where all girl bands were getting to be popular. Such as “the Go-Go’s” and “the Runaways”. Everyone just wanted to be like Cherie Currie. They were one of many Girl bands,

1985-1990’s was the time where most kids listen to pop music and attended concerts. There was fewer rebellious actions amoungst the younger generation.
